Hi. Are you open to doing an interview for a documentary?
As a part of a summer project a groups of student and I are producing a documentary on the tensions in the South Asian community surrounding Partition. Our documentary's purpose is to shed light on how tensions surrounding partition exist less and less in the US amongst today's South Asian youth and to encourage education about tolerance across racial and ethnic barriers in NYC schools.
We would like you to explain your grandparent's story so that it can be put in as a detail of the history surrounding Partition that we are relating in our documentary.
I can be reached at (917)558 1616 or (212)209-2811. Our Documentary has to be complete by Aug 30th. I'm not sure where you're located, but a phone interview is possible....Please get back to me as soon as possible.
Thank you in advance.
Best Regards,

Hi. Do you think my group could do an interview with you about your grandparent's experience during partition? We're composing a radio documentary about tensions between the Pakistani and Indian communities in the US. We're aiming to show that it's less of a big deal in the US today and that a bigger issue is discouraging discrimination against the South Asian community as a whole. In the documentary we are starting with the history, and we would love to have a first hand account of the partition.
Please contact me at (917)558-1616 or (212)209-2811.
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
Mera
